At around 10 p.m. on Jan. 8, police responded to Post Road in Darien on a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. A man had reportedly been seen banging on the window of a car, police said. Officers located the car and made contact with the three people inside.
The driver told officers that he had been having an argument with one of the other people in the car, and had banged on the window in frustration, police said. He said the argument was brief, and had since calmed down, which the other two people confirmed, police said.
During the course of the interaction, police determined that one of the occupants had an active arrest warrant out of Stamford. Police said that 22-year-old Shawn Osorio of Norwalk had failed to appear in court on a sixth-degree larceny charge, resulting in a bench warrant.
Osorio was taken into custody, and during a search police located an ecstasy pill in his wallet. He was charged with second-degree failure to appear and possession of narcotics, and released on a $10,250 bond.
